Spring 2011 Morrisville State Soccer Clinic

The clinic, open to players ages six to 18, is being conducted by Morrisville State College men’s soccer head coach Kyle Graves, and will include skill and drill sessions for all positions in soccer. Skills sessions, on the team and individual level, include technical development, tactical development, goalkeeping, speed of play, decision making, team defending, possession, and combination play.

Cost for the three day camp is just $35 per camper and includes lunch on Saturday and Sunday, a camp t-shirt, and an individual coaching evaluation report.

Summer 2011 Lacrosse Developmental Clinic

Thursday's: June 9, 16, July 14, 21, 28 & August 4
Morrisville State College will host a developmental lacrosse clinic for high school level players Thursday nights, starting June 9th. The clinic will run June 9, 16, July 14, 21, 28 and August 4 from 6 – 8:30 p.m. on Drake Field on the Morrisville State campus.

These clinics are designed for players who are looking to excel and develop their game at the collegiate level. The primary focus will be on training and development of high school players.

Clinic participants will receive hands-on instruction from the Morrisville State College Lacrosse Staff and players led by two-time Coach of the Year, Jason Longo. Players will be exposed to high intensity on field sessions devoted to the improvement of individual skills such as passing and catching, shooting, dodging, face-offs, goalie play, ground ball play, as well as different situational play with team/game philosophy and small area game competitions.

Also included is a specialized off-field training session with over six hours of intensive conditioning, strength building, hand-eye coordination, development exercises, and instructional tactics designed to improve speed and quickness, balance, flexibility, strength and endurance.

In addition, players will learn the mental aspect of the game and different coaching tactics used by the top coaches throughout the country.

The clinics will also include a breakdown and analysis of each individual by using film. Each player, if desired, can view their techniques by watching film after each session. Tips and recommendations for recruiting will also be provided.

Spring 2012 Morrisville State Field Hockey 7 v 7 High School Tournament

The Morrisville State College Mustangs will be holding a spring high school field hockey 7 v 7 tournament in its stadium facility Sunday, April 22 from 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. Space is limited to 16 teams.

Each team participating is guaranteed to play four games. Champions for the tournament will be based on pool play.

Teams wishing to register for the event can contact Coach Osier in the field hockey office no later than April 6, 2012. There will be no walk-in registration. A $100 non-refundable deposit is required to secure your spot.

Winter 2012 Presidents' Day Field Hockey Play Day

Enjoy a mini clinic followed by 7 vs. 7 games, Monday, February 20 from 10 a.m. - 3 p.m. at the Morrisville State College Recreation Center. Players in grades 7-12 are welcome to attend! Participants must bring their own equipment and a bagged lunch. Snacks and drinks will be available for purchase. Contact Coach Osier for additional information.
