Lisa Eklund joined the Morrisville State College staff in 1999 from Cornell University where she was the coach of the Intercollegiate Equestrian team for two years. While at Cornell, Eklund earned the honor of having a team in the top 10 for Region 2, Zone 2 at Cornell University in 1998, and having a top 10 team in Region 3 Zone 2 at Morrisville from 1999-present.
